Following their breakup, supermodel Gigi Hadid and musician Zayn Malik were the talk of the town. While some fans were unhappy, insiders informed international media that “it’s far better that they have parted” because their relationship had hit a hard phase.
“When they were romantically connected, Gigi and Zayn had a really disastrous relationship,” a source told Us Weekly.
Gigi and Zayn “are not together,” according to a family member, but they will continue to co-parent their 13-month-old daughter Khai Hadid Malik.
“Gigi believes in Zayn’s capacity to co-parent well,” the insider told Us Weekly. Khai was born in September 2020, and according to reports, things were well for a long time following her birth.
After an apparent confrontation with Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, Zayn Malik was charged with four criminal crimes of harassment three months later. Last week, Zayn sent a message on Twitter about a “private subject.”
The statement was released after TMZ reported that Zayn had reportedly slapped Yolanda and that she was likely about to file a police case against him.
Zayn had pleaded no guilty to accusations that he mistreated Gigi and Yolanda during an altercation, according to the Associated Press. According to court filings, Zayn was accused of seizing Yolanda Hadid and slamming her against a dresser.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, who began dating in 2015, have been in an on-again, off-again romance for several years.
