Chhattisgarh Naxals Killed News: A Maoist with a $55,000 bounty on his head was shot and killed in an encounter with security officers in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district today, authorities said. He was sought in roughly 25 criminal cases.
They claimed the gunfight had happened about 12.30 p.m. in a woodland in Pordem.
During an operation, a squad of the District Reserve Group came under fire from Maoists, and security officers reacted, according to police.
They stated the Maoists eventually retreated, seeking shelter in the dense undergrowth of the jungle, which is around 400 kilometres from Raipur.
“During a check of the area, security personnel discovered a Naxal’s body, as well as a handgun and other everyday items. Santosh Markam, a member of the Malangir Area Committee of insurgents, was identified as the deceased cadre. According to him, the Aranpur police station has around 25 criminal cases against Maoists.
