K.V. Anand was a director and cinematographer who passes away early morning on 30th April due to cardiac arrest. He was just 54 old.
At early stage, K.V. Anand started as a photojournalist in the film industry. Later, he worked with cinematographer P.C. Sreeram as his assistant, where he worked in many films. As a cinematographer, he made his debut in Malayalam film Thenmavin Kombath as Mohanlal. His career later succeeds in many Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi films. In 2005, K V Anand worked as director for film Kanaa Kanden. He got a big commercial success in 2009 film, Ayan, starring as Suriya. Later, K V Anand worked with many actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Suriya, and Dhanush.
He worked with Director Shanker where he had a last collaboration for the Rajnikanth-starrer film Sivaji as a cinematographer. Rajnikanth was saddened and shocked as soon as he heard KV Anand Passed Away news.
In one interview with The Hindu News, K V Anand said, “photography and cinematography are my things and director is a temporary detour to my career.”. He was quite focused as cinematography.
