A 27 years old YouTuber having more than 4 million+ subscribers got arrested on May 27, 2021 (Thursday) for showing cruelty against animal by uploading a video where he flied his pet dog with hydrogen balloons. He tied his pet dog to its collar and float it in air using hydrogen balloons.
Defendant Gaurav Sharma, who has 4.15 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, is based in Panchsheel Vihar, south of Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.
An FIR has been lodged against Youtuber Gaurav Sharma under section 188 for disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant of the IPC (Indian Penal Code), relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, and the Disaster Management Act. The complaint was lodged by Gaurav Gupta who is a member of ‘People for Animals Society (PAS) on Gaurav Sharma.
Atul Kumar Thakur (Deputy Commissioner of Police of South Delhi) said that the dog flying with hydrogen balloon footage was later been deleted.

After receiving criticism of the video, the defendant uploaded another one the next day, apologizing, saying he had taken appropriate security measures while filming his dog Dollar’s video, and assuring viewers that he would not do so in the future will repeat.

In the video, Sharma can also be seen standing on a car with his dog, a Pomeranian toy, which releases the dog, hovers in the air and climbs to the second floor of a building. in the air for brief moments while the YouTubers and another woman cheered.
